About Yoga

Yoga brings about inner and outer strength by uniting the body with the mind through the practice of physical postures, meditation, breath work and chanting. Practising yoga can be a mystical as well as magical experience that is very different from traditional Western “workouts.”

Yoga is an ancient practice — ascetics in Northern India used yogic techniques from 500 BCE (some argue earlier) to liberate themselves from what they feared was an endless cycle of rebirth.

Yoga practices and aims have changed a lot since then and nowadays students come to class for a myriad of reasons — maybe you want to improve your flexibility and cardiovascular health.

  • 7:30pm Monday Yin Yoga (suitable for beginners)
  • Tuesday 7:15am Meditation
  • Tuesday 7:30pm Beginner/ Improver Level Pilates
  • Wednesday 10am Intermediate Level Pilates HIIT Style class
  • Wednesday 7pm Yoga (Beginner/Improver Level)
  • Thursday 6:15pm Beginner / Improver Level Pilates
  • Thursday 7:15pm Intermediate Level Pilates HIIT Style class
  • Thursday Night 10pm Meditation
  • Friday 9:30am Mixed Level Pilates (beginners too!)
  • Sunday Night 10pm Meditation

Where do I begin?

It is essential that you book into your first course of Pilates in advance in order to: 

  •  Give yourself a chance to discuss your general medical background with your instructor in private so that you can get the most benefit from the class
  • Avoid disappointment in the event that the class is full when you arrive
  • Ensure that you are attending the correct class for your level
  • Ensure that you are aware of any changes to the timetable

Medical Screening

Before taking your first class you will need to fill out a general medical screening form to assess whether you might need any special consideration or modifications in class and if you are ready to partake in a general class.
